Joan Mitchell, 76 of Bell Buckle passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. Mrs. Mitchell was born in New York, NY to the late Pasquale and Maria Venturini. She was a Bacteriologist at Temple University and attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, James Mitchell; sons, Ed Hance of Christiana; Tim Hance of China; Chris Hance of Fallsington, PA; daughter, Jeannine Carlin of PA; seven grandchildren; sister, Micky Daylor of Harrisburg, PA; and brother, Pat Venturini of Lewisburg, TN.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 3:00pm until the Funeral service at 6:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Father Mark Sappenfield officiating.
